Sarah Reid is an Australian travel writer, journalist, subeditor, blogger and author with a passion for sustainability and low-impact travel.
Having trading in her last full-time job as a Destination Editor at Lonely Planet in London, where she primarily managed the brand’s Southeast Asia content, for the life of a digital nomad, Sarah now contributes to travel publishers including Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, The Guardian, Adventure.com, The Independent, London Evening Standard, Get Lost magazine, Food & Travel magazine, Adventure Travel Magazine, Jetstar magazine, Virgin Voyeur magazine, and more. She also produces travel content for a number of leading travel brands including Intrepid Travel and Australian Wildlife Journeys, works as a freelance subeditor for the likes of Lonely Planet, and manages a sustainable travel blog, ecotravelist.com. Sarah is also the author of The Solo Travel Handbook, published by Lonely Planet in 2018.
A member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers and an Adventure Travel Trade Association Media Member, Sarah has hiked, skied, scuba dived and eaten her way around more than 110 countries, and is always looking for new and creative ways to minimise her impact on each destination she visits.
